SUMMARY:Overcoming Self-Sabotage with Tara Packer
DESCRIPTION:Overcoming Self-Sabotage with Tara Packer\nThursday\, July 28\, 2022 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM PDT \nEveryone has engaged in the act of self-sabotage at some point. Many of us engage in it regularly. It’s tricky because it is not just about an emotion but includes autopilot behaviors. \nThis interactive workshop brings awareness to a variety of ways that self-sabotage shows up and offers a way to break the cycle – rewire your neuro-behavior – utilizing Tapping (EFT). Tapping activates meridian points in the body and deactivates the alarm system response. Tapping halts the fight/flight/freeze response by reprogramming our brain’s memory center. Our expectations of or perceived threats can often trigger us\, but tapping works to retrain the mind so as to no longer be triggered by these negative perceptions. \nRegister Here.\nAbout Tara:\nAfter working 20+ years in creative industries and recruiting\, Tara witnessed too many uncomfortable outcomes and situations for both employers and employees that could have been circumvented. A shift needed to happen and she wanted to be of greater service for both. She began coaching. Her work utilizes a combination of tools in a somatic approach to help people work through emotional and trauma reprocessing. When people experience emotional regulation (calm)\, they can access their best cognitive functioning and health moving from surviving to thriving. Her 1:1 clients have experienced freedom from life long phobias\, pain\, anxiety\, trauma\, and burnout\, and are living what they once referred to as a distant possibility. \nFrom Tara: It is my greatest pleasure to facilitate and be part of this process to witness transformation and joy.\nTara has studied in multiple holistic disciplines including: EFT\, TFT\, NLP\, IFS – Parts Work\, Hypnosis\, Breathwork\, Emotional Regulation\, Narrative Therapy\, Unconscious Bias Transformation\, Energy Medicine and others. She is currently studying advanced coursework on trauma.

SUMMARY:Meeting Suffering with Compassion
DESCRIPTION:Meeting Suffering with Compassion\nThursday\, June 30 @ 11:00am Pacific / 2:00pm Eastern / 7pm in BST (Ireland/UK)\nIt’s such a human response to resist pain and suffering; to try make it go away\, or to shame ourselves for what can feel like personal failure. And yet\, in resisting\, judging\, shaming\, or trying to escape what feels unlovable\, we inevitably make things so much harder for ourselves\, compounding the layers of wounding and prolonging our own suffering. Shifting how we relate to and hold our wounded parts is a transformational practice that can be learned and strengthened at any age and is the key to reclaiming agency and a sense of peace. Where habitual judgement and shame keep us stuck and hopeless\, compassion is the balm that soothes our suffering and frees us from inner conflict. For many of us\, this way of relating compassionately to what hurts is new and can initially feel unnatural\, especially if it wasn’t modeled to us in our early years as we first learned to grapple with big feelings. As with any new skill\, it will grow and strengthen with repetition; hold hope that healing is always possible. \nThis hour-long session is trauma-informed and will be a blend of teaching and guided meditative practice\, with time for reflection and questions at the end. It will be a safe\, loving\, non-judgmental\, and compassionate space where all of you is welcome. \nRegister here.\nYour guide\, Mar Healy.\nMar has been working in the area of personal growth and healing for almost a decade\, holding roles in Coaching\, Mindfulness Facilitation\, Mental Health Training and currently practicing as a senior trainee Psychotherapist. She brings a trauma-informed approach to all she does\, having completed training in modalities such as IFS (Internal Family Systems) and NARM (Neuro-Affective Relational Model) in addition to MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and Hatha Yoga. Mar writes guided healing poetry and meditations\, with her work regularly featured on Insight Timer. She lives with her loving partner\, two incredible little boys and Bodhi the lab/retriever on the rugged North West coast of Ireland\, nestled between ocean and mountains.

SUMMARY:Overcoming Self-Sabotage with Tara Packer
DESCRIPTION:Thu Mar 31\, 2022 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM PDT\nEveryone has engaged in the act of self-sabotage at some point. \nFrom Tara: It is my greatest pleasure to facilitate and be part of this process to witness transformation and joy. \nTara has studied in multiple holistic disciplines including: EFT\, TFT\, NLP\, IFS – Parts Work\, Hypnosis\, Breathwork\, Emotional Regulation\, Narrative Therapy\, Unconscious Bias Transformation\, Energy Medicine and others. She is currently studying advanced coursework on trauma.

SUMMARY:Compassionate Presence
DESCRIPTION:Compassionate Presence\nWe are pleased to offer a 90-minute group session with renowned facilitator\, Ann Marie Wright \nIn our online circle\, we will utilize meditation\, breath work\, active listening\, as well as techniques of mind-body awareness to release stress\, and deepen our sense of interconnectedness. \nMost of us are hungry for connection. As we experience the benefits of living life in a more meditative way using our natural senses\, our ability to connect with ourselves and others increases\, resulting in a more meaningful and passionate life. In this state of interconnectedness we become more caring and creative. \nAcute anxiety and tension not only affect our physiology\, but our ability to cope with life. Embodying presence is an effective tool for managing all types of psychological stress\, including chronic pain\, depression\, and relationship issues. Presence is a sense of “being at home” in your own body and remembering that our true home is the present moment. \nWhere our awareness goes\, energy flows. \nDates: Wednesday\, February 23rd \nTime: 3 pm to 4:30pm PST \nClick here to register. \nCost: Suggested donation $25 but please pay what’s comfortable for you. Donation is not required to join this session. All proceeds go directly to support the programs of Compassion Prison Project and are 100% tax deductible: http://donate.cpp1.org \nFor more information contact Ann Marie at 604-518-4860 or theartofbeingpresent@gmail.com \nPersonal sessions are also available with Ann Marie Wright https://theartofbeingpresent.ca \nAnn Marie has over 30 years of experience working as a group facilitator\, mindfulness teacher\, and mind-body coach. She creates a safe space where participants can release stress\, and expand their sense of presence\, meaning\, and interconnectedness in the world.
