My favorite part about Compassion Prison Project is the openness and togetherness, the sense of love and care. The feeling of having someone there for you. The most important thing I have learned is that a lot of people carry so much pain. It's made me open my heart to others as I wish I had when I was going through my stuff. I have started to see people differently, races in the group differently. This program is different because I believe in the people in the group and the closeness of them. It's easier to be yourself. It's easier to hold people accountable. Group members want to be seen a certain way by each other. I would recommend this program to others because I think it will help them open up about things they've been holding in. And also find important things that'll bring them healing.
