Social Profit Corrections (SPC) is the country’s first and only secure nonprofit full-service corrections corporation. Our business model is a new concept in managing secure correctional and re-entry facilities. All net revenues from federal and state contracts will be reinvested in resident safety, programming, education, healthcare and staff development - no shareholders or red tape.

PACEs Connection (positive and adverse childhood experiences)

Supporting communities to accelerate the use of PACEs science…to solve our most intractable problems. We are the human and digital catalyst that unites the people, organizations, systems and communities in the worldwide PACEs movement. We are its main information exchange and resource. And we are a support for hundreds of local, state and national ACEs initiatives.

ACEs Aware

The ACEs Aware initiative is a first-in-the nation effort to screen patients for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to help improve and save lives. Initially led by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and the Office of the California Surgeon General (CA-OSG) as part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s California For All initiative, ACEs Aware strives to create a better world for children, families, and communities by working together across the health, human services, education, and non-profit sectors to prevent and address the impact of ACEs and toxic stress.

Inside Circle empowers system impacted people to lead change from within by providing opportunities for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people to heal and serve both themselves and others. We exist to reduce recidivism and all forms of violence – physical, emotional, and psychological – in our prisons and communities.

Fritzi Horstman

Founder and Executive Director

 

Fritzi Horstman is the Founder and Executive Director of Compassion Prison Project. She is a Grammy-award winning producer for her work on “The Defiant Ones”, has been a producer and post-producer on dozens of television projects and documentaries and has directed several films. She believes it is urgent to bring humanity and compassion to those living behind bars and these acts will help transform our society. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Vassar College.
