Day 38 - Graciousness

When someone is gracious they are courteous, pleasant, polite or thoughtful. Making a concession, like holding the door open for someone, is graciousness, it serves a purpose greater than ourselves.

Reflection
  • Making gracious concessions on the little things allows us to stand unshakable on those that are more important.
  • To do this, we must be detached from our opinions.
  • This doesn’t mean being wishy-washy or lacking strength in our convictions, it means that we cultivate tolerance and not force our opinions on others.
Action
  • Write about some of the ways that you may act selfishly in life.
  • Be honest with yourself.
  • What changes can you make to become a more gracious person?
  • Write them down and practice at least one today.
