Compassion Prison Project hosts these community Zoom-based Compassion Trauma Circles to connect to the core of humanity that lives within us all. We will spend four hours (with breaks) diving into our adverse childhood experiences, the symptoms of trauma, and some modalities to help us better understand and grow from our experiences.

The circles aren’t always easy, but as one participant so perfectly put it, sometimes you need to break out the stinky fertilizer and spread it around to help the garden grow. Sometimes you start off not even sure what’s in that bag of fertilizer. Sometimes you know it well.

Please note, although we are a non-profit and rely on funding to keep our programs running, we never want anyone to let finances hold them back from their healing process. So if you need some assistance, see our note at the bottom.

These circles are interactive. There are no spectators, observers, auditors, etc. This doesn’t mean you need to share or speak if you choose not to, but the circle is strong because it is comprised of equal parts. Participants come from all sorts of backgrounds, and what we’ll realize through this session is how connected we all are regardless of our individual experiences.

What we’ve learned from these circles is that while suffering thrives in isolation and darkness, suffering diminishes in community and light. This is why we invite you into this community.

These circles are created for you to have a safe and nurturing space to openly talk about some potentially difficult childhood experiences and find news ways to process and heal.

We hope to see you there!
